About me
Amanda Lynch
Amanda Lynch is a Special Education teacher at Five Keys Charter School. She works with students ages 18-22 inside the Los Angeles County Men's Jail System, and she is also the special education teacher in charge of the Five Keys Youth Sites in the communities of Hollywood, Boyle Heights and Lancaster for students ages 16-22.
She is currently working on her masters degree in Learning Design and Technology at USC Rossier School of Education.

Amanda believes that education can help all individuals, but especially those impacted by harsh environmental factors within both their community and family, build the confidence they need to contribute back to society.

Five Keys Charter School is the first charter school in the United States to formally operate inside county jails. Currently, Five Keys is stationed in San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Mateo, and San Bernardino county jails and community partners throughout these counties. The goal of Five Keys Charter is to provide all individuals in the listed communities the opportunity to obtain their high school diploma or GED so that they can better contribute back to their community in a positive way.

Being an educator for four years has helped me develop my instructional design philosophy. My experience has driven me to believe that these four concepts are essential to effective instructional design.
